NEW REFECTORY AT LINCOLN

OPENING BY GOVERNORGENERAL The Governor-General, Sir Willoughby Norrie, will open the new refectory at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, on November 8. After the opening ceremony the Gov-ernor-General, who will be accompanied by Lady Norrie, will spend some time inspecting the college. According to information received by the board of governors of the college yesterday the Governor-General and Lady Norrie will arrive at the college at 10.45 a.m. and take part in the opening ceremony; between 11.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. they will inspect the refectory and other departments of the college; they will lunch with the board of governors; and afterwards they will see more college activities until they leave about 3.30 p.m. The Director, Dr. M. M. Burns, told the board of governors that the contractor was seeking to complete the refectory by October 1, although it was not officially due to be completed till February next year.
