DELINQUENCY AMONG CHILDREN
METHODIST VIEWS ON REMEDIES No special measures were needed to combat juvenile delinquency, said the chairman (the Rev. H. L. Fiebig) at the North Canterbury Methodist Synod in Christchurch yesterday. “Our contribution is one we have been trying to make for years,” he said. “It is the task of getting on with our own work.” Commenting on the report of the youth department to the synod, the Rev. G. R. Harris said: “We believe that the church has the key to the problem of juvenile delinquency. It is a call to .a special evangelism.” “It is not £ matter for a special mission ” said the youth director (the Rev. R. H. Allen), who presented the report. “The youth council is communicating with the Committee of Inquiry into Juvenile Delinquency while it is sitting in Christchurch.”
