Cashin), reporting to yesterday's meeting of the board, said there was “little hope of early delivery of Win x 18in beams ana it has been decided to use 14in x 12in timbers, from those taken out of the old structure. .This will enable work' to proceed At the normal rate for about two months, after which it is hoped that deliveries of new timber will be available in sufficient quantity.” During the month 24 new piles were driven, two capping beams prepared and fitted, together with five campsheares and two hanging fenders. The concrete retaining wall at the base' of the jetty was in hand, Mr Cashin reported.
