HERETAUNGA SEAT

NATIONAL CANDIDATE CHOSEN

(New Zealand Press Auociation) WELLINGTON, September 1. Mr Allan McCready, a Kaitoke dairy farmer, has been selected as National Party candidate for the new Heretaunga electorate in the General Election. Mr McCready, aged 38, is married to a daughter of Mr J. J. Maher, M.P.

Mr McCready served with the Post and Telegraph Department until he left for service overseas in 1939. After the war he worked on a farm for two years before acquiring his farm at Kaitoke. He has been a member of the National Party committee at Upper Hutt for several years.

NATIONAL CANDIDATE FOR MT. ALBERT

(New Zealand' Press Auociation) AUCKLAND, September 1. Mr Robert David Muldoon, a cost accountant, has been selected as the National Party candidate for Mount Albert at the General Election.
