DOMINION WOMEN’S TOURNEY
EASTERN SOUTHLAND STILL UNBEATEN (New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, August 31. Eastern Southland is the only* team unbeaten in the K Cup division of the New Zealand women's hockey tournament, which entered its fourth day today. This afternoon’s matches were played in a cold southerly rain, and the grounds were heavy. Today’s results were:— Major Division.—Section A: Malvern 3, Taranaki 1; Otago 4, Canterbury 2; Auckland Country 2, Wairarapa 1. Section B? Rangitikei 6, Canterbury B 0; Auckland Town 3, Wellington 0; Eastern Southland 3, Maniototo 2. Minor Division.—Section A: Bush 0, Wahgnaui 0; North Otego 3, Central Otego, 1; Southland 8, Nelson B 0. Section B: Hawke’s Bay 10, South Otago 0; Waikato 3. Nelson A 5; Poverty Bay 5, Marlborough B 0. Section C. Ashburton 3. South Canterbury 2; Buller 5, Horowhenua 0; Marlborough A 3, Manawatu 1.
