NATIONAL TEAMS’ TOURNAMENT (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 31. Wellington won both the men’s and women’s teams’ titles at the New Zealand inter-association table tennis championships tonight. It was Wellington’s first success in the men’s section since 1946. For the women it was their second successive win. Seldom during the tournament were the Wellington teams hard pressed, though the men would probably have had a struggle in the final against Auckland if W. O. Jaine had played.
