It is just a big brilliant bubble, since it says that in certain circumstances military action ■e justifiable. It does not unconditionally condemn or reject war, but ““ y > ■” the best Communist fellowtraveller fashion, recommends prohibia °5- or chminatiqn of weapons of mass destruction. This is plain nonsense, for is there such a thing as war without mass_ destruction? If Christians ?J e . justified to take military action, that is quite unequally war. Evanston gives the green light to the United States and U.S.S.R. not for mass destruction but for wholesale destruction. —Yours, etc., NO MORE WAR PREPARATION. August 31, 1954.
