Finer Wool Cheaper In Australia

(Rec. 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 31. Comebacks and crossbreds continued firm at the Sydney wool sale today, but Merino prices were up to 2J per cent, lower. ‘Crossbred prices ranged from 78|d to 97? d. A weaker tone was evident at the opening of the first Adelaide sale. Prices were down by 5 to 7J per cent, for strong and 10 per cent, on finer grades.
