H-BOMB BAN URGED

World Council Of Churches (Rec. 10 p.m.) EVANSTON (Illinois), Aug. 30. The World Council of Churches Assembly formally approved today a resolution urging the prohibition of all weapons of mass destruction, including atomic and hydrogen bombs, with provision for international inspection and control. The resolution, submitted by its section on international affairs, also urged the “drastic reduction of all other armaments.” The resolution further asked “the certain assurance that no country will engage in or support aggressive or subversive acts in other countries.” Similar views were expressed in a report from the section accepted by the world council at a plenary meeting of the council during the weekend.
