* ( ANNUAL HUBBARD CUP | MATCH The annual match for the Hubbard Cup < was held by the North Canterbury Gun Club in ideal conditions on Saturday. ; Waihora was again successful in win- ( ning the cup, the margin being nine ] points. ( The first match, of five targets, with j 27' entries, resulted in L. W. Kerr, R. T. ( Whitham, V. Luisetti, W. Fidler, S. Henderson, R. Turner, L. LanaUze, L. Bennett, M. Eden, T. A. Everett. V. Payne, and E, Bearman shooting possibles and dividing the prize money. The Hubbard Cup match, *of 15 targets, was won by the Waihora Gun Club. Those who shot possibles and divided the optional sweep were L. Eden, T; Gebbie, H. Hatchard, Kerr, Whitham. E. Bearman, and Henderson. Those with one down were L. Blatchford, Payne, and I. G. Watkins. The concluding match, a 10-target ' sweepstake, was divided by Luisetti, L. Eden, Hatchard, Fidler, Lanauze, Watkins, Payne, Bearman, and J. C. Streeter. Kirwee Gun Club There was a good attendance of shooters when the Kirwee Gun Club held its single and double rise championship recently under ideal' shooting conditions. B. Begg shot the only possible to win the single rise championship and K. Wilson won the double rise championship after a shoot-off. Results were:— Five Target Eye-opener.—S. Brown, R. Meyers, M. Voice, K. Wilson, A. Hender- ; son, R. Voice, R. H. Bedford, P. Clinton, G.. Stott, N. Skurr, and H. Walker scored possibles. Novice Cup, 10 Targets.—M. Voice. J. Band, W. Stott, and S. Brown were top scorers with nine breaks, with Voice winning and J. Band runner-up. Fifteen Targets, Single Rise Champion- . ship.—B. Begg shot the possible with ; Mac Wilson; W. Jenkihs- and K. Wilson . 14 breaks, Jenkins gaining second place on the seventeenth target. Ten Pair Double Rise Championship.— K. Wilson, B/-Begg/-W. Jenkin, and, H. Walker were top scorers with 15 breaks, ■ Wilson winning on the shoot-off, with Begg runner-up. ■ Ten* Target Gimcrack.—l. Langford and ' B. Begg shot the only possibles, H. Walker, N. Skurr, C.
