SOUTH AUCKLAND MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP (New Zealand Preu Association) HAMILTON, August 30. G.L. Taylor, of Hamilton, beat H. Law. of New Plymouth, 3 and 1, in the final of the South Auckland men’s open golf championship, played in fine weather thia afternoon. HAWARDEN LADIES’ CLUB.—Best scores in the L.G.U. medal and the fourth round of the Gwen Evans Memorial Cup were as follows:—Mrs Hirst, 97, 27—-70: Mrs Mason, 89, 14—75; Mrs Bethell, 95. 20 —75.
