Canadian Exhibition Opened By Duchess Of Kent

(Rec. 8 p.m.) TORONTO, August 27. The Duchess of Kent, accompanied by, her 17-year-old daughter, Princess Alexandra, today officially opened the seventy-sixth, annual Canadian National Exhibition.

An old-time fiddler struck up the “hoe-down” music following a private dinner given for the Royal visitors by Mr J. D. Woods and Mrs Woods. Mrs Woods is the former Honourable Victoria Stanley, daughter of Lord and Lady Stanley, of England.
