(Rec. 10 pjn.) LONDON, August 28. Nazik Riad, the 25-year-old Egyptian Channel swimmer, got to' within 100 yards of the Kent coast on Friday night—then the tide swept him out to sea again and he had to give up after 14 hours in the water. He had swum most of the day in dense mist after taking off from Cape Gris Nez.
