The Swedish singer who played the male lead in "‘South Pacific,” Mr Richard Collett, was married in London recently to Miss Dianne Bowser, who won the “Miss Australia” title in 1951. A former Brisbane model, Mrs Collett met her husband in Melbourne, where she was modelling and he was playing in ‘‘South Pacific.” Her wedding hat of white satin to match her shoes was the gift of Aage Thaarup, whose hats she had modelled in Australia. Mr and Mrs Collett will settle in Stockholln, where Mr Collett is the director of his family’s company, the biggest galvanised iron factory in Scandinavia. Later he hopes to return to Swedish opera.
