RETIREMENT OF MR F. W. GILLIGAN , (Neip Zealand Press Association! WANGANUI, August 22. . Moro than 800 old boys and .friend, of Wanganui Collegiate School packed the Wanganui Drill Hall on Saturday evening for an official farewell ti jfr W. Gilligan, who is retiring after being headmaster of the school for ill years. . The president of the Old Boys’ Atsociation (Mr B. E. Keiller) preside* and proposed a toast to Mr Gilligan. Presentations were made on behalf ci the association. Earlier iast week, the school bad* to Mr Gilligan, and the head prefect (John Rose) made presentstions to him and to Mrs Gilligan. Mr Gilligan will relinquish his dutiez at the end of this term. He will be succeeded by Mr R. B. Bruce Dockhart, formerly of Harrow School, England, r 1 who has recently been living in « Canada. Mr Dockhart will arrive in Wanganui within the next few days.
