Press Association—Copyright) (I V2r 7 LONDON, August 21. «.^!“^ >iane Leather, aged 21, at the White City, London, today equalled the women’s world unofficial record for the 440 yards and set a new official British record. She won in 56.6sec—equalling the time established by Pat Bryant, of Perth, Western Australia, last February. The British record she broke has stood sine* 1932.
