MOVE TO HAVE GOLF ON SCHEDULE (NiZ. Press Association— COpvrfoht) (Rec. 9 pan.) MONTREAL, August 21. Mr John J. Hopkins, qxmsor of the Canada CUp match now being played here, opened a bid. today to have golf placed on the schedule tor the next Olympic Games. He said he planned to amtfoadi offldals of the Games, which will be held in Melbourne, with an offer to supply money through bis International Golf Association to cover expenses of the teams. He said he would recommend that tourman amateur teams be sent from each country to compete. OPEN TOURNAMENT AT TEMPLETON R. J. RAMSAY WINS SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP Several of leading golfers took part in the Templeton Golf Clubs open tournanftnt at the week-end. Entries were large, 92 juniors playing on Saturday and 120 seniors and intermediates yesterday. The greens, which played very fast, troubled some competitors. The winner of the senior championship was R. J. Ramsay, with the good zounds of 71 and 78. The runner-up was R. E. Clements, with, rounds of 75 and 76. S. Andrews, with rounds of 78 and 82, won the intermediate championship. In second place, with rounds of 84 and 82. was G. P. Anderson. The junior championship in the A grade went to S. Cawtheray.
