CANTERBURY TEAM CHOSEN
With the Canterbury prop forward P. B. Eastgate chosen to play for New Zealand against the Maoris representative team at Auckland next Saturday, E. Bullmore, of the Old Boys Club, has been added to the list of reserves for the Canterbury team in its match against Waikato next Saturday. .No decision will be made about playing N. Teague, lock forward, and E. Hern, front-row forward, who retired with injuries in the game against South Canterbury, until medical advice has been received. The selectors, Messrs J. G. Rankin and D. P. White, have chosen the following team, with reserves, for training:— K. C. Stuart; M. J. Dixon, A. E. G. Elsom, R. Smith; A. W. C. McPherson, D. D. Wilson; P. B. Vincent; N. Roberts, K. Meates, N. Teague, L. D. Davies, S. F. Hill, E. Hern, D. Young, P. Eastgate. Reserves:— P. Creedy, J. Waine, C. McDonald, D. Taylor, D. Mayo, R. Blick, B. McCormick, J. D. Stewart, J. H. Mauger, K. Fincham, J. J. Small, E. Bullmore.
