CURLING MATCH PLAYED INDOORS
A game of curling between Canterbury and Otago at the Centaurus road iceskating rink yesterday is thought to be the first ever played indoors in New Zealand. The match, a friendly one, was to have been played at Lake Ida, but the weather there made the ice unsuitable. Another novel feature of the match was the fact that four of the players, three from Otago and one from Canterbury, were women.
