BUSINESS BEFORE HOUSE

PRIME MINISTER’S OUTLINE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 12. The Budget debate, he hoped, might end with his reply next Tuesday, said the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) in the House of Representatives tonight, when outlining the business before the House. The first item on the departmental estimates would, he hoped, also be considered on Tuesday. Mr Holland said that tomorrow members would have the opportunity of discussing papers already presented to the House. Next Wednesday and Thursday public bills would be debated, and on the Friday more classes of estimates would be taken. It was hoped to discuss estimates on Tuesday and Friday of each week. Written Ministerial replies to members* questions would be circulated fortnightly in future, said Mr Holland.
