R.N.Z.A.F. SERVICE TO JAPAN
CARRIAGE OF TROOPS FOR KOREA (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 10. Forty troops from Burnham and Waiouru will be the first to be flown to Japan by No. 41 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force, when the courier service starts on August 24. The men will serve in K Force. The service will replace that by which K Force men have been flown by Tasman Empire Airways and Qantas between New Zealand and Japan. An officer of the Royal New Zealand Air Force said today that the frequency of flights would be to meet the Army r s requirements. It was expected that they would average two every alternate month. Hastings transports will be used.
