VISIT BY JAMAICAN POLITICIAN

DISCUSSIONS ON TRADE WITH N.Z. (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 10. A member of the Legislative Council of Jamaica, Mr R. L. M. Kirkwood was the guest of the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) and Ministers at lunch today. Mr Kirkwood, who has visited Auckland, and will go soon to Christchurch, is discussing trade matters with the Government and marketing organisations. He brought as a gift for the Prime Minister a box of cigars from the Chief Minister of Jamaica (Mr W. A. Bustamante) .

Mr Kirkwood is chairman of the British West Indies Sugar Associattion and the Jamaica Citrus Growers’ Association.
