FELLOWSHIP AT HARVARD
AWARD TO N.Z. LAW GRADUATE
Because of his outstanding scholarship, a New Zealander who has been studying law at Harvard University has been awarded a Harvard faculty fellowship. He is Mr James F. Hogg, son of a well-known Wellington solicitor. He will continue to study for a doctorate when he returns to the United States at the end of next month.
At Harvard, he topped his LL.M, class in the fields of international law, common law, and equity. Mr Hogg, who has returned to New Zealand after a year as a Rotary foundation fellow at Harvard, will address the Christchurch Rotary Club next Tuesday.
New Zealand Rotary clubs are now inviting applications from candidates for the Rotary fellowship in the 1955-56 academic year. The average value of the ' fellowships is about £2500, and they are available to young men of outstand ; ng ability in all countries where Rotary is established. To date. 606 fellowships have been granted to 493 mep and 113 women from 57 countries who have undertaken study in 35 difference countries. A total of 113 fellowships were awarded this year.
