T.A.B. AND BROADCASTING SERVICE

Sir, —The postponement of the Wellington races on Saturday, July 10, left many would-be investors wondering why they had to face the coldest morning of the year to record their bets. They could have stayed in bed had they been given the service that they pay for. Our wireless told us why someone’s soap, petrol, and razors are so much better,'that the track was heavy, and the scratchings. Why was no announcement made about postponement when it must have been obvious at an early hour that this was inevitable.—Yours, etc., DISSERVICE. July 14, 1954. [When this letter was referred to the Station Manager, 3YA, (Mr J. F, Skedden), he said that 3YA -had no knowledge of the postponement of the Wellington meeting. Any such announcement would have come from 2 YA.]
