TRAP SHOOTING
T. EVERETT WINS N.Z. 21 YD RISE TITLE T. Everett, of Christchurch, won the New Zealand 21 yards rise title at the Christchurch Gun Club’s grounds yesterday. The match was shot in atrocious conditions, with a strong south-west wind and rain sweeping the grounds all day. There were 124 competitors, of whom the following eight shot the possible:—T. Everett (Christchurch), J. Parkin (Sedgeinere), R. H. Liddle (Hawke’s Bay), I. A. Taylor (Oamaru), E. Green (Auckland), D. Mitchell (Hamilton), James McKenzie (Invercargill), and C. Jones (Hastings). In the shoot-off, which went to 10 birds, Everett was first, followed by Parkin, Green and Liddle. The winner and run-ner-up performed remarkably well in the conditions.
