Chinese Confident Of Big British Trade
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 14. The Chinese Communist trade mission left London by air today to return home w’ell satisfied with a fortnight’s business talks with British industrialists and manufacturers. The leader, Mr Tsao Chung-shu, forecast last night that trade could be developed between the two countries worth £80,000,000 to £100,00,000 a year. The party met leading British industrialists during their stay, and visited some of the main industrial centres. "Working conditions are much the same in Britain and China, but some of your factories are more modern,” said Mr Yao Mai-an, secretary, before the party left today.
