TRAP SHOOTING
N.Z. TOURNEY CONTINUED TITLE TO L. LANAUZE, OF CHRISTCHURCH A Christchurch shooter, L. Lanauze. won the single rise clay target title when the New Zealand Gun Club’s championship tournament was continued on the Christchurch Club’s grounds at Yaldhurst in very favourable conditions yesterday. There was a field of 166 competitors for this title, which is shot off 18 yards, and only two competitors—D. Campbell, of Balclutha, ana Lanauze—shot the possible 50 targets. In the shoot-off. Lanauze won on the seventh target. He won a trophy order for £49 16s and £B3 in prize money, the New Zealand Bronze, and the single rise silver fern. The runner-up, D. Campbell, won a £33 14s trophy, and £4l 10s in prize money.
The following competitors shot 49. targets:—C. J. Benton (New Plymouth), A. Donald (Invercargill), D. Williams (Hastings), C. L. Ball (NaungatUroto), C. N. Stott (Kirwee), C. Gunn (Hastings), H. C. Walker (Hakataramea), W. B. Cattanach (Hutt).
The following shot 48 targets: B. Newman, V. Payne, T. Everett, S. R Marston, R. W. Gunn, W. Nix, L. J. Eden, L. J. Wills, H. Cromie L. W. Kerr, M. Stewart. R. Black, D. Wareham, G. Lampp, and D. Lilley.
