NOTICE is hereby given that the following electricity restrictions will be imposed in the Borough of Riccarton as from THURSDAY, the 15th JULY, 1954. (1) All electric advertising signs prohibited except between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on late night. (2) Shop window lighting prohibited except between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on late night. (3) No external lights to be used except with the permission of the Committee. (4) Interior shop lighting to be reduced to a minimum during working hours,

and prohibited at other times. (5) No space heating to be used between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. , (6) The Committee will reduce the hours of water heating to 16 hours per day, and it will reserve the right to in- , crease or further decrease these hours dependent upon the quota of elec- ‘ tricity allowed the Council, and the ’ amount which consumers save voluntarily, and through these restrictions.
