AS from JULY 13, 1.954, until further notice, a 10 per cent, cut in electricity consumption is requested by the State Hydro-electric Department. All consumers are requested to co-operate by conserving ■ as much power as possible. Switch off all unnecessary lights and heaters. Business people are requested to switch off all neon signs and under-veranda lighting from Monday to Thursday, but these will be allowed between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays only. Street lights will be switched off at midnight and will come on again between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. Your co-operation in this matter will save blackouts. R. G.
