Tory Channel Whaling.— With four whales captured on Sunday the Tory Channel whalers equalled the previous record season’s catch of 139 whales taken in 1949. A month remains of the present season. The four kills on Sunday were made fairly well out in Cook Strait. A heavy swell was running.— (P. A.)
