Soviet Climbers Meet Sir John Hunt
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MOSCOW, June 13. Brigadier Sir John Hunt, leader of the British expedition which conquered Mount Everest, became an honorary alpinist of the Soviet Union yesterday. He was presented with the first-class medallion of the Soviet Climbing Association a few minutes before he delivered an address on the conquest of Everest to diplomats and 11 Russian climbers at the British Embassy. He is the guest of the Embassy.
