(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. Belgium reached the semi-final of the European zone in the Davis Cup at Scarborough today by beating Britain 3-2, in the third round. The Belgians, who won the zone last year, will play Sweden for a place in the zone final. Today’s results were:—Geoff Paish (Britain) beat Jackie Brichant (Belgium), 6-1, 7=5, 6-3; Philippe Washer (Belgium) beat Tony Mottram (Britain), 7-5, 6-4, 6-4. In Paris, France qualified for the semifinals when they 1 gained a winning 3-0 lead over India. France won the first two singles yesterday and the doubles today in four sets. Paul Remy and Jean Ducos de la Haille beat Narendra Nath and Naresh Kumar, 6-2, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.

In Stockholm,"Sweden completed a 5-0 win over Italy. Results were: Sven Davidsson (Sweden) beat Nicola Pietrangeli (Italy), 6-4, 6-4, 6-1; Lennart Bergelin (Sweden) beat Orlando Sirola (Italy), 6-2, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.

In Copenhagen, Denmark won th< doubles to lead Hungary 2-1. Kurt Nielsen and Torben Ulrich (Denmark) bea Antal Jancso and Istvaan Sikorsky (Hun gary), 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4.
