FARMERS ELECT OFFICERS
MR D. W. GRAY AGAIN PRESIDENT
Mr D. W. Gray, of Hororata, was re-elected president at the ninth annual provincial conference of the North Canterbury district of Federated Farmers yesterday afternoon. Messrs J. F. G. Blakely and D. H. Butcher were elected vice-presidents. The province’s delegates to the annual Dominion conference of Federated Farmers will be the president, the two vice-presidents, and Messrs L. C. Gardiner and S. G? Farquhar. Mr M .E. Jenkins will take the place of any delegate unable to attend the conference. '*■
Messrs C. G. Gardner and G. H. Blair will represent the agricultural section on the executive, Messrs S. G. Farquhar and W. C. Miller the dairy section ,and Messrs M. E. Jenkins and A. C. Wright the meat and wool section.
Delegates from branches will be: Messrs A. J. Turnbull (Amberley}, A C. R. Robinson (Amuri), R. W. Armstrong (Banks Peninsula), H. H. Deam (Chatham Islands), R. Webb (Cheviot) A. P. Smith (Cust-West Eyreton), W L. Stott (Darfield), J. L. Walker (Dunsandel), W. Johnson (Ellesmere). L. S Carpenter (Fernside), J. R. Parish (Halswell), J. C. Denham (HawardenWaikari), R. F. White (Hororata). D. I. Barclay (Little River). G. M. Turrell (Motukarara), R. Kimber (Ohoka and districts), G. Maxwell (Omihi), J. M. Pickering (Oxford), G. Harper (Sefton and districts), S. S. Deans (Sheffield), D. H. Butcher (Springston), M. M. Fleming (Tai Tapu and districts), R. Barnes (Waimairi), J. J. Hughey (Woodend and districts), and T. A. Crawford (Yaldhurst). Mr L. C. Gardiner -was also re-elected a member of the executive.
