CANBERRA, May 2. The Australian Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) last night announced the names of the Royal Commissioners who will inquire into alleged espionage in Australia. •He said he hoped the terms of reference for the commission would be available next week.
The Commissioners are Mr Justice W. F. L. Owen, of the New South Wales Supreme Court, who is chairman. Mr Justice Ross Philip (Queensland), and Mr Justice G. C. LigertWood (South Australia). They will be assisted by Mr W. J. V. Windeyer, Q.C. (New South Wales) and Mr George Pape (Melbourne). Mr Menzies did not indicate where or when the Commission- would sit. It is considered likely in official circles that it will meet briefly late in Mav and adjourn for several weeks before evidence is taken.
