WINGS CEREMONY AT WIGRAM

19 PILOTS GRADUATE Pilots’ flying badges were presented to 19 young men by Group Captain R. W. K. Stevens, Director of Postings and Personnel of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, at Wigram yesterday afternoon. The armament trophy was presented to Acting-Pilot Officer W. H. Hoffman, of Auckland. Five pilots who passed out with distinction included Flying Officers G. G. Bayliss (Auckland), and F. A. Williams (Christchurch), both of whom were formerly navigators. The others were Pilot Officer W. R. Swap, of Temuka. formerly an education officer, and Acting-Pilot Officers Hoffman and B. D. Smith, of Palmerston North. .
