£26,915 TENDER ACCEPTED FOR MEMORIAL PROJECT
(Front Our Own CorresDondem > . ± , KAIKOURA, March 19. A tender of £2015 which was submitted by Mr C. A. W. Scott, of Kaifor th ? Kaikoura Wa. Memorial Community Centre was accepted by the Kaikoura County Council yesTh ere were six tenders. The building, which will be constructed in reinforced concrete, will have a floor space of about 10,00( P lans call f °r. a main hall 70ft by 50ft, a stage, a supper room, a library, Plunket rooms and other amenities. A condition of the coxitract was that it should be started within a fortnight. TJie building is expected to be completed in about 12 months. An invitation to the opening will be sent to toe Governor-General.
