STUDHOLME JUNCTION (From Our Own Reporter) WAIMATE. February 19. There were small yardings in all bk. tions. except store sheep at the stock sale at Studholme Junction. Fat ewes showed an appreciation in value of up to about 2s a head on the last sale. Lambs comprised the bulk of the entry in the store section, and sold under a keen demand at satisfactory rates. The demand for the small entry of cattle was rathe erratic, but good prices were paid for quality beasts.

Values were:— Cattle.—Fat steers: best, £3B 7s fid to £4l 12s 6d; medium, £34 2s 6d to 12s 6d; light, £22 12s 6d to £29 2s fid. Fat heifers, best to £3B 7s 6d; ojhen, £l7 2s 6d to £2B 12s 6d. Fat cow?: good, £2l 12s 6d to £24 2s 6d; others, £l3 Ifi 6d to £l9 7s 6d. . Choppers, £5 12s fid; bulls, £8 15s to £2O.

Sheep.—Fat wethers, 61s 7d to 62s 7d; fat lambs, 65s Id; fat ewes, 23s Id to 33s 7d. Mixed-sex lambs, fat and forward, 48s to 58s. Romney cross wether lambs, medium, 39s to 45s 9d; small, 26! 6d to 335. Romney ewe lambs, good, 70s; three-quarterbred ewe lambs, good, 655: small .to medium, 48s to 50s; six and eight-tooth Romney ewes, good, 58s.

RANGIORA There was a yarding of nearly 90 head of dry cattle at the Rangiora stock market yesterday. Values were:— \
