CARNEGIE GRANTS ANNOUNCED

Awards To Five N.Z. Scholars (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK. Feb. 13. The Carnegie Corporation of New York today announced individual grants to five New Zealand scholars for further study abroad. The recipients are: Mr C. G. Ellis, of Wellington, Assistant Director of Education. Mr C. E. Iversen, of Christchurch, senior lecturer in field husbandry at Canterbury Agricultural College. Professor A. Charles Light, professor of architectural design at Auckland University College. Professor F. W. Mitchell, of Dunedin, professor of education at the University of Otago.

Miss Melvyn Wilson, principal of Wellington East Girls’ School, who is already in the United States.
