DEPOSED NATIVE KING

Talks With Colonial Secretary

(Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, December 2. The deposed 29-year-old Kabaka, or King, of Buganda, a province of Uganda, said a few hours after his arrival in London yesterday: “Although I can’t say much at the moment, I hope to be able to do so later.” He said he expected to see the Colonial Secretary (Mr Oliver Lyttelton) today at the latter’s invitation. On his arrival, the Kabaka learnt that his sister had died of shock at Kampala when she heard the news of his deposition in the crisis with the British Government over Buganda’s future.
