PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY

TECHNICAL COLLEGE EVENING CLASSES

Evening classes which had served requirements well had been continued this year with no outstanding innovations, said the principal (Mr D. W. Lyall) at the prize-giving ceremony for evening an . part-time classes at the Christchurch Technical College last evening. Individual students in evening classes numbered 1995, and iri their many subjects they made 3750 enrolments. Part-time classes for apprentices in the day time had 741 enrolments without any appreciable diminution of evening attendances which showed that this development was functioning, as intended, to give extra time for trade training.
