CARGO HANDLED AT LYTTELTON
Cargo handled at Lyttelton last month totalled '47.225 tons, compared with 77,930 for the same month last year. Imports were 27.182 tons (46,1,22 last year), exports 20.043 tons (31,808) and transshipment 173 tons (263). From October 31 to November 25. 73 trading vessels of a net register tonnage of 156.084. entered the port compared with 93 ships of 188.443 tons during the corresponding period of 1852.
