CHRISTMAS GREETINGS TO BE GIVEN BY QUEEN

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 2.

Between 500 and 600 war widows and persons over 70 years of age are to see the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh immediately after the civic reception at the Auckland Town Hall on the day of Her Majesty’s arrival at Auckland. The Mayor (Mr J. H. Luxford) is arranging for them to be seated in the concert chamber where the Queen, from a special platform, will give Christmas greetings to those assembled.
