LIFE MEMBERSHIP OF N.Z.R.S.A.

ACCEPTANCE BY DUKE OF EDINBURGH (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 2. The Duke of Edinburgh has accepted honorary life membership of the New Zealand Returned Services' Association, and the association’s gold badge will be presented to him at Government House, Wellington, at 10 a.m. on Janu&ry 12. The badge will be presented by the president of the association (Sir Howard Kippenberger), who will be accompanied by the vice-president (Mr K. W. Fraser), the treasurer (Mr C. J. Tustin), and five district vice-presi-dents—Messrs G. H. Denbow (Wel-lington-West Coast-Taranaki), C. N. Tilley (Wellington-East Coast), A. P. Postlewaite (Auckland), D. Barrett (Canterbury), and W. H. Smith (Nel-son-Marlborough-West Coast). The Queen, patron of the association, has presented to the association an autographed portrait photograph of herself.
