TROTTING CONTROL

Sir, —I am writing to protest against the unfair treatment of one of the most popular owners in trotting, Mr McTigue. His horse, Venetian, has been eliminated four days running, because Mr McTigue expressed the opinion of thousands of trotting supporters. On the third day, 20 horses started in Venetian's race, while on Saturday 17 horses have accepted, yet he is eliminated again. Hoping owners and trainers will get behind Mr McTigue and take this matter up, so ■that in future all owners will get a fair go and, once again, democracy will prevail.—Yours, etc., FORTY THOUSAND DOWN. November 25, 1953. [A spokesman, on behalf *of the Metropolitan Trotting Club, said .he had no comment to make on this letter.]
