STREET DAY APPEAL
Sir. —To all the collectors of Wednesday last, we say please accept our grateful thanks. The final receipts amounted to £526 8s 6d, which will be a big help to the surf life saving clubs of Christchurch in their self-appointed, voluntary work of safeguarding our surf beaches. For and on behalf of the Canterbury Surf Life Saving Association.—Yours, etc., H. GOLDSMITH, Organising Secretary. December 2, 1953.
