School for the Deaf Marching Team.
—The parents of some of the pupils at l the Sumner School for the Deaf are organising an appeal for funds for the 1 girls’ marching team which has been' formed at the school with Mr B. Hogue as instructor. The organiser of the appeal (Mrs L. E. Smith), in a letter to ‘‘The Press.’’ says that proceeds of the appeal will he used to buy uniforms for the team, for travelling ex- . penses, and for a fund for replace- i ment costs for uniforms. Donations may be sent to Mrs Smith at 120 A Esplanade, Sumner. j
