THE MOTOR TRADE AS A CAREER.—Seventy senior pupils from three Christchurch schools were yesterday conducted through the premises of motor firms and were shown all branches of work except assembly. Here some of the boys are gathered round a car engine, which is being demonstrated by Mr C. Butcher. Yesterday’s tours were part of a scheme arranged by the Canterbury branch of the Retail Motor Trade Association to interest boys leaving school in the motor industry.
