N.A.C. RADIO REPAIRS
WORKSHOP TO BE BUILT AT HAREWOOD Overhauls of all National Airways Corporation aircraft will, from the middle of next year, be carried out at the Christchurch airport, Harewood. Tenders have been called for a new building of 4500 sq ft, in which instrument and radio’ equipment will be repaired and checked. At present instrument and radio servicing is done at Palmerston North. The change to Christchurch will complete a gradual transfer of repair and maintenance facilities from the North Island.
The new workshop will be built in wood and will be erected beside the corporation’s two workshop hangars.
