OLYMPIC GAMES BOXING

BRUSSELS, November 23. The International Amateur Boxing Association executive decided at a week-end meeting in Brussel, that it was opposed to any reduction in the number of competitors in the Olympic Games. Seven requests for affiliation to the International association were ac. cepted. They were from Northern and Southern Rhodesia, Gold Coart. Colombia, Cuba, Panama and Nigeria. The meeting agreed to an Au,tralian proposal to have the boxing programme held in the first half of the Olympic Games schedule, instead of in the second half as formerly.
