Robson, was beaten by Eb Choong, cl Malaya, the holder of the singles title, at the Portsmouth- tournament, 15-4, 15-2. Robson had beaten El Choong, the brother of the title-holder, in a semifinal, 5-15, 15-10, 15-13. Robson and J. Best, an England international, were beaten by the Choongs in the men’s doubles, 15-8, 15-3. Mrs Heather Robson won the women’s final by beating Miss R. Page, 11-3, 11-1.
